GIT - change repository to which your branch will look into, git remote set-url origin

If you want to change the ORIGIN repository for your HEAD consider to use command below, but be aware of difference the flag --update makes:

git remote set-url --update origin https://username@bitbucket.org/your_repo.git

With --update flag git PUSH will work fine, but UPDATE will still look into the former origin!

GIT - git remote show origin

In order to check to which repository looks your origin use this command:

git remote show origin

If you want to change the ORIGIN repository for your HEAD consider to use command below, but be aware of difference the flag --update makes:

git remote set-url --update origin https://username@bitbucket.org/your_repo.git

With --update flag git PUSH will work fine, but UPDATE will still look into the former origin!

CERTIFICATE - gradle refers to https://plugins.gradle.org and cannot establish connection without proper certificate

The issue is that while importing Gradle project SSL Exception happened.

The matter is that Gradle refers to https://plugins.gradle.org and cannot establish connection without proper certificate.

In order to fix it: install the certificate, which is attached.

1. Open cmd with admin rights,
2. Change to JDK bin directory (for example, C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_66\bin>)
3. keytool.exe -import -alias plugins -keystore "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_66\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -file C:\certificats\certificate.cer

EXAMPLE:

keytool.exe -import -alias plugins -keystore "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_66\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -file C:\certificats\certificate.cer

(keystore password: changeit)

TypeScript - typed JavaScript working in browser like ES5/ES3

Taken from here: http://weblogs.asp.net/dwahlin/getting-started-with-es6-%E2%80%93-the-next-version-of-javascript
TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript that lets you write “typed” ES6 code (define numbers, strings, booleans, etc.) while still allowing it to work in any browser out there by “compiling” it to ES5/ES3. I’ll be showing TypeScript code as well in this series when it applies to a specific ES6 feature.
